Description
Established in 1815, Cockburn’s is renowned for producing high-quality Ports, and their Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) is no exception. This Port is made exclusively from grapes harvested in a single exceptional year, selected from the best vineyards in the Douro Valley. After fermentation, it is aged in oak casks for 4–6 years, allowing it to develop complex flavors and a smoother texture than traditional Vintage Ports. The result is a deep ruby-red wine with aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and hints of chocolate and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied with rich fruit flavors, balanced acidity, and velvety tannins. The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of dark fruit and a touch of oak. Cockburn’s LBV Port is ideal for pairing with strong cheeses, dark chocolate desserts, or enjoyed on its own as a luxurious after-dinner treat.
