Description
Masi Passo Doble is a distinctive red wine produced by Masi Tupungato at their La Arboleda estate in Argentina’s Valle de Uco, Mendoza. This wine is a blend of 85% Malbec and 15% Corvina, the latter being a grape variety traditionally used in Italy’s Veneto region. The Corvina grapes undergo a drying process, known as appassimento, which concentrates their flavors and adds complexity to the wine. The Malbec grapes contribute vibrant fruitiness and structure, while the Corvina imparts subtle spice and depth. The wine is aged in French oak barriques for nine months, allowing it to develop a refined character. On the palate, Masi Passo Doble reveals flavors of ripe red berries, hints of cocoa, and delicate spice notes, balanced by soft tannins and good acidity. This organic wine reflects a fusion of Argentine terroir and Venetian winemaking techniques, resulting in a unique and harmonious expression. Ideal for pairing with grilled meats, hearty pasta dishes, or mature cheeses, Masi Passo Doble offers a versatile and enjoyable wine experience.
