Unlike clear spiced rums, its striking black hue comes from caramel coloring, hinting at the depth of flavors within. The rum’s base is aged 1–2 years in charred oak, then infused with a proprietary spice mix (think allspice, star anise, and black pepper) for a warming, complex palate.On the nose, expect aromas of toasted oak, burnt sugar, and candied citrus.
