Description
Established in 1934 in Wolfenbüttel, Germany, Jägermeister has remained true to its original recipe, blending 56 botanicals—including herbs, roots, fruits, and spices—to create a unique and balanced flavor. The production process involves steeping these ingredients in water and alcohol, followed by aging in oak barrels for nearly a year. The result is a dark, rich liqueur with tasting notes of anise, fennel, coffee, orange, burnt sugar, and cola, leading to a smooth, complex finish. Jägermeister is traditionally served ice-cold as a shot but also pairs well with various mixers. Popular combinations include mixing it with energy drinks, ginger beer, or cola. It’s also used in cocktails like the Jägerbomb and Jäger Mule.
