Description
El Tequileño Platino Blanco is an exemplary expression of traditional tequila craftsmanship. Founded in 1959 by Jorge Salles Cuervo, El Tequileño has maintained a commitment to quality and authenticity. The Platino Blanco is produced at NOM 1108, utilizing 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave from the Highlands of Jalisco. The agave is cooked in autoclaves, fermented in open-top stainless steel tanks, and distilled in copper pot stills. After distillation, the tequila is mellowed for 14 days in American oak barrels, imparting subtle complexities to its flavor profile. On the nose, it presents aromas of cooked agave, herbal notes, and delicate hints of anise and black pepper. The palate is smooth and refined, featuring flavors of green agave, orange zest, and fresh pastries, with a slight heat. The finish is herbal and lasting, developing sweetness over time. This tequila is 100% additive-free and has been recognized with a Gold Medal at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Its versatility makes it ideal for enjoying neat, on the rocks, or as a premium base for cocktails.
