Description
Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a distinguished red wine that reflects the unique character of the Black Sage Bench in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Crafted by winemaker Jason James, this wine is produced from grapes harvested at peak ripeness, ensuring optimal flavor development. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in a combination of French and American oak barrels for over 12 months. This meticulous process imparts depth and complexity to the wine. The nose is greeted with aromas of cassis, black forest cake, toasted oak, and hints of leather and spice. On the palate, it delivers flavors of dark cherries, cassis, and an undertone of toast and spice, with tannins that are firm yet approachable. The finish is extended, with flavors lingering long after the last sip. This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs excellently with rich dishes such as lamb stew, prime rib, or aged cheddar.
