Description
Introduced in 1974, Baileys Original Irish Cream was the world’s first Irish cream liqueur, created by a team led by Tom Jago at Gilbeys of Ireland. The liqueur combines Irish whiskey, dairy cream, and a proprietary blend of cocoa and vanilla flavors. The cream used in Baileys is sourced from Tirlán, an Irish dairy company, ensuring a fresh and high-quality base. The whiskey is distilled and aged in Ireland, contributing to the liqueur’s depth and character. Baileys is produced in Dublin, Ireland, and Mallusk, Northern Ireland, under the ownership of Diageo. It has a shelf life of 24 months and does not require refrigeration, thanks to its alcohol content, which preserves the cream. Baileys is available in various bottle sizes, including 700ml and 1L, and is widely distributed in over 150 countries.
